    The Launchpad of American Theater, the O’Neill is the country’s preeminent organization dedicated to the development of new works and new voices for the stage.   • We are thrilled to announce Hidden Voices has been named one of the 2020 Fellows for Socially Engaged Art by A Blade of Grass!

    A Blade of Grass nurtures socially engaged art. Their mission is to "provide resources to artists who demonstrate artistic excellence and serve as innovative conduits for social change." You can follow the progress and learn more about the fellows HERE.

    Joining this collective of artists and changemakers is such an honor! We'll use the support to work on A GOOD BOY, our music theater piece sharing stories of family with loved ones living on death row.

  • More exciting news! Lynden Harris, founder of Hidden Voices, is one of six extraordinary artists chosen to be a recipient of the 2020 Ann Atwater Theater Award!

    This award is given to recognize Triangle theater artists and companies whose body of work reflects and honors Ann Atwater’s lifelong commitment to activism for social justice.

    Each award comes with an unrestricted cash grant of $4,000.00 from the Manbites Dog Theater Fund, as well as an original sculpture being created by Durham artist/designer Andrew Preiss.
